Classical Guitar Lessons

Classical Guitar is possibly the most elegant of all guitar styles and genres, depending on who you ask of course. Melodic shape, tone, personal expressiveness, and even playing the notes off of the page (the fruitful domain of playing with character and personality) are all part of playing classical guitar pieces in a way that can capture an audience's attention. This course of study will help you get there.

What To Expect

In this course of study, a student who studies classical guitar with me can expect to do the following:

1. Aim to play any classical guitar piece with elegance.
2. Master technical aspects to such a degree that the technique supports the highest forms of musical expression and creativity.
3. Learn how to perform their repertoire with little distraction from either me or their inner thoughts.

The course of study in classical guitar with me is intense. After all, many of the aspects of playing and performance will be considered and studied. In order to take classical guitar lessons with me, a student must play their favorite piece for me on their first lesson, and they must show diligence in continued practice. Diligence for me means more than two hours of practice per day. This is not to discourage your enthusiasm about playing classical guitar. It is to empower you to bring out the very best of your musicianship and creativity.
